Serbian Geological
Society publishes periodicals "Zapisnici Srpskog geološkog društva".
Scientific results presented by its members and guests at the society’s
meetings are published on annual basis. Besides periodicals, SGS releases
special issues and periodical reports on its doings.
After 1890, upon
establishing the society, its work was published in the professor’s magazine
called "Nastavnik" and since 1894, sporadically in the magazine for science,
literature and social life – "Delo" .
In 1897 SGS board
obtain agreement with the "Delo" redaction on publishing special issue called
"Zapisnici Srpskog geološkog društva" which would be exchanged with
publications from other geological societies and related institutions.
With short breaks,
publishing activity run for over a hundred years. Interestingly, the magazine
was released even in the war times like 1915 in Niš. Today, "Zapisnici Srpskog
geološkog društva" with its centennial tradition presents one of the oldest
and most respectable Serbian geological magazines.
